J.J. Moore scored a team a game-high 15 points to lead No. 13 Pittsburgh over St. Francis (PA) 71-47 on Tuesday at the Petersen Events Center.
Dante Taylor poured in 14 points to go along with eight rebounds. Lamar Patterson chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Ashton Gibbs chipped in with nine points in 27 minutes.
Anthony Ervin scored 13 points and Stephon Whyatt added 10 for the Red Flash.
Pittsburgh (11-1) returns to action on in their last non-conference game of the season on Friday against Wagner at 8 p.m. ET.
The Panthers are playing arguably the best basketball of the season which is what they tend to do heading into conference play. We’ll see how they fare, but Dixon led teams usually succeed in the first quarter of the Big East campaign.
